FPNS

First Presbyterian Nursery School

Meet our Director

Stacey Walker brings over 25 years of dedicated experience in early childhood and family education to FPNS, having joined us in 2022. Before joining the FPNS family, she led initiatives at New Canaan CARES, educating and supporting children and families in mental health and wellness.

Her journey began teaching first grade in New York City, where she discovered the deep connection between learning and emotional well-being. Stacey responded by creating parent workshops and an after-school theatre club, giving children a creative space to express themselves.

Since then, Stacey has carried that same vision into education roles across New York, Colorado, and Connecticut, always focused on nurturing the wellness and growth of children and their families.

Stacey is passionate about fostering early childhood development and is committed to providing a nurturing and loving environment for children and families, with a focus on play-based learning and social-emotional development. She looks forward to school every day, giving hugs, seeing smiles, and watching children explore, discover, smile, laugh, and grow.  To Stacey, FPNS is pure joy, lovingly referring to it as “rainbows and unicorns.”  Stacey loves her FPNS family!

Stacey earned her Master’s in Early Childhood and Elementary Education from New York University and a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Vermont.   Stacey and her husband Pete live in New Canaan and have three children.
