Four’s Program

The Four’s Program is a special year of discovery, growth, friendship, and joyful learning. At this age, children are becoming more independent, developing a stronger sense of themselves, and eager to make sense of the world around them. Our classrooms provide a warm, engaging environment where children feel known, supported, and encouraged to take on new challenges.
Through intentional, play-based learning, children build important skills in early literacy, math, problem-solving, communication, and social-emotional development. They learn through hands-on experiences, imaginative play, storytelling, meaningful conversations, and opportunities to collaborate with their friends. Along the way, they are building confidence, empathy, responsibility, and the independence they will carry with them into kindergarten and beyond.
Our curriculum thoughtfully incorporates all eight Connecticut Early Learning and Development Standards (CT ELDS), ensuring that children are growing across every area of development. Teachers closely observe and assess each child, using what they learn to thoughtfully support individual interests, strengths, and areas of growth.
Children are also introduced to the Wilson Fundations handwriting program, helping to develop foundational writing skills and build confidence as they prepare for kindergarten.
Children enjoy daily music, a weekly science class, and abundant opportunities for outdoor play and exploration on our spacious playground.
Above all, the Four’s Program is a place where children feel known, valued, and excited to learn. Through a year filled with friendship, discovery, and joyful experiences, children grow in confidence and independence while developing a strong foundation for success in school and beyond.
