A great day at FPNS for me:
It is a day fueled by my students, who inspire me every step of the way.
I am inspired by:
Watching students experience ‘lightbulb’ moments of understanding, make real-life connections, and build meaningful friendships with their peers. I teach with passion, dedication, and data-driven instruction differentiated to help each student reach their fullest potential: socially, emotionally, physically, and academically.
A fun fact about me:
I love to sail.
Education:
My educational background includes earning a B.A. in Elementary and Special Education from Wittenberg University (2000), an M.Ed. in Educational Leadership from Antioch University McGregor (2003), and completing the Ohio Principal Licensure Program at Antioch University McGregor (2004). Additionally, I completed the Applied Behavior Analysis Program at Penn State (2009) and am Classroom Educator certified by the Academy of Orton-Gillingham Practitioners and Educators. I began my teaching career in 2000, working with students with special needs in public schools in Vandalia, Ohio. In 2004, I joined the New Canaan Public Schools, where I case-managed students for sixteen years. In 2020, I brought my wealth of experience and enthusiasm to FPNS, where I have been teaching Pre-K ever since.
